The latest news on the tour (via the UK promoter who just arrived in Sydney) is that the team arrive on the morning of 22nd July and will leave on the afternoon of 1st August. As yet the promoter doesn't yet know how the itinerary sits beyond arrival, departure and match days and thus his visit is specifically to work with the Aussie organisers and the Club to fill out the days and meet the contractual and sponsors requirements.
ORSA will be able to pass on more details when we have them. The promoter says "Certainly there will be at least one training session open to fans". So get your autograph books ready and camera batteries charged!
Thanks for your patience on this and other matters relating to the tour. The main contacts at Ibrox have been on annual leave and we're just starting to get a trickle of information as they come back off their holidays. The first ORSA 'Gers Down Under' newsletter should be out by the end of the week and will have more info on all the Gers tour news and other details including the proposed Bears HQ in Sydney which is just about finalised.
At our end we've been testing and setting up the systems to allow us send group emails and SMS's. The SMS system is now in place so we can notify those who have registered via the website of events during the week of the Gers tour. Get your mates to register now!!!
